This is my 3rd year running a half-marathon for Team APEN in the Oakland Running Festival. 13.1 miles! Why do I keep putting my body through it?
Every year when I run, I realize that people are capable of so much more than we think we are. I spent a lot 2013 with stalled plans because I second-guessed myself. This year I need to start taking risks and leaps. I know that starting 2014 off running will remind how strong I can be.
I want to run for the Asian Pacific Environmental Network because we bring that same spirit of leaping to our work. We belief our communities are strong and more capable than they realize. We belief working communities can lead the way to a more just economic system and a renewable energy future. So we take leaps and trust that together with our community, we will soar.
So that's why I'm pulling out my running shoes and dragging myself out of bed every morning. I'm planning to go the distance this year and so is APEN! Will you donate and help us do that?
