I'm running for the third consecutive year in a row representing Team APEN in the Oakland Running Festival!!!
Hi comrades, friends, family! It's that time of year again and I'm itching to run for a cause!
For the past 5 years I've had the privilege to work with the Asian Pacific Environmental Network (APEN)!
During my tenure I've gotten to stand alongside some powerful community leaders to demand the end to Big Oil, explore Transit Oriented Development in Chinatown and help ensure the voices of immigrants and refugees be heard!
From Oakland and Richmond, all the way to Sacramento and DC, APEN has helped to identify and amplify both the problems resulting in Climate Change, as well as pose real solutions in the renewable energy field. APEN has gifted me another chance to stay active and have a great time doing it!
The last 2 years, I've run the 5K alongside comrades who are fighting for a more clean, green and just planet. I had a blast, more fun than I even anticipated! :)
The Oakland Running Festival is right around the corner, on March 23rd, 2014, and I cannot wait to run in the streets alongside so many new and veteran runners alike!
